We've had lots of fun at our house the past week!
Devin had Friday-Monday off last week because of the Memorial Day Holiday. We slept in, went shopping with friends, went on a date, and spent Monday with Jonas. It was a fun, fun weekend. I didn't want it to end!
We were going to take Jonas to feed the ducks at a shopping center near our home, but he fell asleep on the way there. It got a little hot for Devin and I, so we didn't stay long. Jonas woke up just as we were leaving. He's a little cranky in most of the pictures. He wanted to eat...and cool down.

Our Family at the Rio Center
When we got home we decided to wash our car (and our friends car that we have been storing). Jonas found the hose and went CRAZY!

Making his own fountain

Getting a drink :) My family would be so proud. This is how we get a drink when we are outside in the summer :)

Spitting out a little water when he got too much

Its hard to see but Jonas is soaking wet! He played with the hose, and then loved it when we would spray him. The water was cold, and took his breath away, but he laughed and laughed and kept playing with it. It was so funny! I took a video, but it didn't work :(

I bought some tub tinting tablets at the dollar store this week. Jonas is not sure what to think of the colored water. We change it every night...and every night he stands in it for a long time before he will get brave enough to sit down in it. I think he is a bit confused :)

We played at the park with friends TWICE this week. Its been very humid and very HOT...so our play time isn't long.
Jonas and Dylan swinging away. I have to fight Jonas to swing but once he gets in, he loves it!

Since its been so hot, we've played a lot inside. Jonas is really into coloring (well...two year old style), and his love for his slide hasn't died yet. He's getting braver though...which has led to this. Look at the face. I swear he is thinking..."Come and get me, Mom."

Yesterday we drove to Black Hills Park. It has a little lake where you can rent Kayak's, paddle boats, and canoes. They also have a pontoon boat you can take a tour on. It looked fun, but J would have had to wear a life jacket..willingly..for an hour and a half. He didn't get much of a nap...so we opted out on the tour. Although I would like to go back sometime.

Jonas mostly wandered around looking at the Fisherman's tackle boxes and the fish they had caught.

Here Devin is trying to get Jonas to jump off the bench. Jonas is what we will call...cautious. It takes A LOT of convincing to get him to try new things.

We ended our day on the swing. (and a trip to Chick-fil-A). Oh the lazy days of summer!
