ICE!

Devin works with the best people. We feel very fortunate to have made friends with so many thoughtful friends. Ruthie (whom Devin works with), was nice enough to tell Devin about the ICE show going on at the National Harbor. We invited our friends and their little boy and the six of us (ok 8 if you can't the little ones Aleese is carrying for another few weeks) had a BLAST!!! It was so much fun! Basically it was a big outdoor room filled with Ice Sculptures. It was the coolest thing ever! I loaded the pictures wrong, so we will go from the end to the beginning instead. After we went to ICE, we walked through the Gaylord Resort Hotel Atrium. They had a fountain show and then it snowed...

First it was just a little snow...

and then there was a bit more...and Jonas LOVED it!! It was really tiny bubbles, but he didn't care. He was crazy!

We laughed and laughed and laughed and so did he!

Reach Buddy!

He was having so much fun (so was Barrick in the background)

Here we are-right next to the fountain-just as the show was starting...

and here we are in the middle of the show. Jonas was SO wet, but he LOVED it, so we just stayed there and got wet, wet, wet. It was worth it!

..ICE..
Mom, Jonas, and a Nutcracker.

Mom and Jonas on the slide. Maybe I liked it a bit more than he did :).

We had to wear these big parka's. They provided them and its a good thing because they have to keep the tent at a whopping 9 degrees!! Needless to say our noses and our toes were frozen!

All that cold didn't stop Jonas from wanting to eat all the ice sculptures. This was really not allowed, but we couldn't resist! He loved the Penguins. I think he thought they were giant popsicles.

A tree (all made of ice...ornaments too)

Fireplace

Family Piano

This was a pond with Polar Bears playing on the frozen ice. We couldn't take the strollers up the stairs, but it was cute even from below.

This fence was amazing! It was so realistic and actually looked more like glass.

More of the fence..

Jonas' Parka was a little bit too big...but he was a good sport and kept it on. He must have been freezing too!

The Parka's are way heavy!!
I forgot my camera, like a dummy. I was SOOO mad!! Thank Goodness Aleese remembered hers. I just took these with Devin's phone. I will update with the other pictures later. We had a lot of fun and look forward to going next year!!

***UPDATE***
Scott brought the pictures to me :) Thanks!!

Jonas smashing his face against the ice wall.

That looks like the cutest little place. I am seriously amazed at the talent people have to create stuff like that.

That looks like such an awesome place. Little J is a doll, looks like he had a fun time. But you had the most fun on that slide! I have a sneaking suspicion that you tried to stuff that giant blue coat into your purse to take home.

What a fun activity! The perks of living in a big city! Don't worry about keep the 12 days secret from Reed and Yetta.....I knew they wouldn't eat anything that they didn't know where it came from....so it is not a secret! Thanks for the sweet comments. Your little boy is absolutely adorable!
